However, this convenience has come at a significant environmental cost. In 2021 alone, light-vehicle passenger transportation accounted for more than 11% of Canada's greenhouse gas emissions. Recognizing the urgent need for change, many are turning to non-emitting alternatives, with the battery electric vehicle (BEV) emerging as a prominent choice. Johanne McInnis holds a Bachelor of Education, a Bachelor of Arts in Music (recipient of the 2009 Nova Scotia Teachers of the Year Award), and certificates in both English and French. Currently working towards a master's degree in music, Johanne is an artist of life who seamlessly integrates her passions for music, mindfulness, and community. Born on the tranquil shores of Kingsport Beach, she founded the Harp & Yoga FEST in 2017, a sanctuary where souls gather to seek peace and connection. In addition to her musical talents, Johanne expanded her holistic approach to wellness by completing her Vinyasa Yoga training in 2017 at the Breathing Space studio in Halifax under the guidance of Blair & Jenny.
Her musical repertoire traverses various genres, from the lively rhythms of jazz to the timeless melodies of Medieval, Indie, and Celtic traditions, echoing the rhythms of life itself. Through her transformative journey, Johanne weaves a tapestry of togetherness and fellowship in her music, reminding us of the beauty of connection.
Beyond her musical endeavors, Johanne is an esteemed educator who has taught a wide array of subjects, including Music, Dance, Theater, History, French & English as second languages, in four Canadian provinces. Recipient of the 2009 Music Teacher Award in Nova Scotia's "Learning through the Arts" theme, Johanne's teaching philosophy reflects the wisdom of Eric Hoffer, who said in his book Reflections on the Human Condition: "In times of change, the learners will inherit the earth, while the learned will find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists."
Amidst contemporary turbulence, her music and guided meditations serve as a beacon of hope, inviting us to embrace the present moment with gratitude and resilience while welcoming change.
As an accomplished musician & educator, Johanne is a guitarist, Celtic flutist, pianist, and harpist.  She is the creator of "Nature Speaks" show with her creative acolytes' musicians who are part of her jazz Celtic trio Ensemble. She is currently preparing her bilingual new show called:  Calling You Home | Retour aux sources.
With a career spanning a little over two decades, she has been a house harpist at the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City and continues to break new ground in English and French Canada as a creative artist. Her latest show, "Calling you Home\Retour aux sources," embodies her passion for bridging mindfulness, cultures, and languages through music.
As a devoted mother of four and a dedicated student of meditation and mindfulness, Johanne approaches life with relentless passion and optimism. Her melodies offer sanctuary and strength, reminding us that in life's symphony, we are all interconnected notes in a grand composition.

Erika Sheen's journey into the world of wellness began in 2003 when she planted her roots in the serene landscapes of Annapolis Valley. Here, amidst the gentle rhythms of nature, she embarked on a path of personal transformation as a Personal Trainer at her local gym. However, it was a serendipitous encounter with a yoga DVD nestled within her P90X bundle that ignited the flame of her passion for yoga.
In 2014, Erika's journey took a pivotal turn when she ventured into the welcoming haven of a hot yoga studio, a venture launched by her dear friend, Jenny Sinclair. This immersion into the world of hot yoga marked a profound chapter in Erika's life, deepening her practice and illuminating her path forward.
Driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge and growth, Erika embarked on a quest for formal training, culminating in the completion of her foundational 200-hour Yoga teacher training in 2021. Undeterred by challenges, she now fervently pursues her 300-hour advanced certification in Hatha Yoga, a testament to her unwavering commitment to mastering her craft. Moreover, Erika boasts certifications in Yin Yoga, Prenatal, and Restorative Yoga, enriching her repertoire and enhancing her ability to cater to diverse student needs.

A multi instrumentalist from the quaint Annapolis Valley region of mainland Nova Scotia, Jenny was reared up on a farm. She began learning traditional music from family and local musicians, in sessions and as played for dancers. Her initial pursuit of further musical education began at the University of Toronto, and following that, the Royal Conservatory of Music and the University of Limerick where she received diplomas in music performance and pedagogy. However, as the music of her home place and its' history continued to captivate her, she began to study with masters of traditional music in the west of Ireland, the point of origin for much the music in her own area. Over the years, her mentors have included notable musicians and scholars; Oisín Mac Diarmada, Caitlín Ní Gabhann, Liam Kelly and Gráinne Hambly have played formative roles in her musical journey.

Nathan Goudreau: Pilates Instructor and Guest Presenter at the "Harp Meditation Yoga Festival"
Nathan Goudreau is not your average physical education specialist; he's a seasoned Pilates virtuoso with a knack for promoting health and wellness. Currently stationed at YOGALIFE in Wolfville, Nathan's teachings emphasize balance and inner strength through the art of Pilates. Additionally, he serves as a dedicated physical education teacher at the Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education, fostering inclusivity and prioritizing student well-being.
His worldly adventures include stints at the Canadian International School in Beijing, where he excelled as both a PE Teacher and Athletic Director. As Chairman of the Junior International School Athletic Conference (JISAC), Nathan ensured the smooth operation of athletic programs while maintaining a safe and competitive environment.
Beyond his teaching roles, Nathan wears many hats, directing summer camps at Camp Centennial and the Catapult Leadership Society, where he mentors Nova Scotia's future leaders.
